Understanding binds and spells can help!

Understanding Magic

What is Magic?

Magic is often defined as the art of influencing events or outcomes through supernatural means. It can take many forms, including:

  • Ceremonial Magic: Involves elaborate rituals and the invocation of deities or spirits.

  • Natural Magic: Utilizes the energies of nature, such as herbs, crystals, and the elements.

  • Chaos Magic: Focuses on the belief that belief itself can create change, often using eclectic methods.

Each type of magic has its own unique practices and philosophies, but they all share a common goal: to harness unseen forces to bring about desired changes in the world.

The Role of Intent

At the heart of every spell is intent. Your intention shapes the energy you send out into the universe. When casting a spell, it is crucial to be clear about your desires and to focus your energy on achieving them. This clarity can significantly influence the effectiveness of your magic.

The Elements of a Spell

A spell typically consists of several key components:

  1. Purpose: What do you want to achieve? Be specific.

  2. Materials: Gather items that resonate with your intention, such as candles, herbs, or crystals.

  3. Ritual: Create a structured process for your spell, which may include chanting, visualization, or meditation.

  4. Timing: Consider the lunar phases or astrological alignments that may enhance your spell's effectiveness.

The Art of Binding

What is Binding?

Binding is a specific type of magic used to restrict or limit the actions of a person, situation, or energy. It can be employed for various reasons, such as protecting oneself from negative influences or preventing harmful behaviors. Binding spells are often used in situations where you want to create a barrier or stop something from happening.

Types of Binding Spells

There are several types of binding spells, including:

  • Protection Bindings: Used to shield yourself or others from harm.

  • Cursing Bindings: Designed to restrict someone’s negative actions or intentions.

Crafting a Binding Spell

When creating a binding spell, consider the following steps:

  1. Define Your Intention: Clearly articulate what you want to bind and why.

  2. Select Your Materials: Common items for binding spells include black thread, salt, or specific herbs known for their protective properties.

  3. Perform the Ritual: This may involve tying knots, creating a protective circle, or using specific chants to focus your energy.

Practical Tips for Casting Spells

Create a Sacred Space

Before casting a spell, it is essential to create a sacred space. This can be done by:

  • Cleansing the Area: Use sage, incense, or salt to purify the space.

  • Setting Up an Altar: Arrange your materials and any symbols that resonate with your intention.

  • Grounding Yourself: Take a moment to center your energy through meditation or deep breathing.

Once you become comfortable with physical spaces, you should be able to cast spells without needing anything but your own physical vessel.

Focus Your Energy

During the spell, focus your energy and intent. Visualization can be a powerful tool. Imagine your desired outcome as if it has already happened. This mental imagery can help direct your energy effectively.

Record Your Spells

Keeping a spell journal can be useful. Personally, I only have done so when I felt called to. Strict routines and rules stifle creativity, and therefore, magical power. If you decide to document yours, you can track the following things:

  • The date and time of the spell

  • The materials used

  • Your feelings and observations during the ritual

  • The outcomes and any changes you noticed

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Lack of Clarity

One of the most common mistakes in spellcasting is a lack of clarity in intention. Be specific about what you want to achieve. Vague intentions can lead to unexpected results.

Ignoring Timing

Timing can significantly impact the effectiveness of your spells. Pay attention to lunar phases and astrological events that align with your intentions. For example, a full moon is often considered a powerful time for manifestation. Keep in mind, this practice is extremely useful but not strictly necessary as you gain magical power. Never box yourself or your magic in.

Neglecting Follow-Up

After casting a spell, it is essential to follow up on your intentions. This means that magic without action is just intention. For example, let's say you cast a spell to receive a new TV for free, but you stop there. You should buy a TV stand, or clear your space to incorporate the new item you asked your spell for. Otherwise, your intention and action do not align, and send differing signals.

Ethical Considerations in Magic

The Rule of Three

Many practitioners adhere to the Rule of Three, which states that whatever energy you send out into the universe will return to you threefold. This principle encourages ethical considerations in spellcasting. Always consider the potential consequences of your actions.

It is necessary to exercise discernment when considering this rule. Not every situation is what it seems. For example, if you choose not to interfere when someone is harming you, it becomes harm upon yourself. The energy you are therefore exuding is one that says you allow such behavior. You moreover continue to absorb double negativity. In such a case, the better energy-output is to interfere with the harm being done upon you. This resets and clears your energetic signature.

Consent and Free Will

When performing binding spells, it is crucial to respect the free will of others. Avoid using magic to manipulate or control someone against their will. Instead, focus on protective or healing spells that promote positive outcomes.

A common spell that overrides free will is a Love Spell. The side-effects of nonconsensual magic are grave. The object of your spell can suffer from psychosis, obsession, and paranoia. At the worst, it binds the two of you together in a way that is likely to bring great physical harm upon you, the spellcaster.

How can this help with the Unknown Evil?

Now that you understand the basics of magic and binds, you must know that not everyone follows these rules. Evils unbeknownst to the common man lurk in the shadows of morality and ethical practice. They dilute and pervert the natural forces that exist in order to exact control. Once Magic turns into a bid for control or chaos, it becomes a Bind.

Two Types of Evil Binds

There are two main types of Evil Binding that breaks the rules of consent and free will. The first is an Action bind. The second is a Reality Bind.

A Reality Bind is one that places the object of the bind in an alternate version of reality of the evil-doers choosing. Escaping from this is easy. You must give the victim a reminder of their real life, before the reality bind was placed on them. The object must hold great importance to the victim. True Love can break this curse, alternatively.

An Action Bind traps the victim in their own mind, unable to control themselves or their deeds. Once the bind merges with the victims cells and brain, it is impossible to remove it. The magical instructions that were encoded in the action bind will now forever dictate the victims actions. More research is currently being developed to understand how to remove the bind once it reaches this level. If you catch the bind in the early stages, you must immediately identify if the victim has been encoded to attack a specific person/audience. Remove the person from these stimuli, as it will only deepen the bind. If you can identify who placed the bind, you can also reverse the bind using Thaumakinetics.

Symptoms of an Action Bind

  • Feeling like you're watching your life go by

  • Feeling watched

  • Nausea, unexplainable physical symptoms

  • Magic doesn't work or behaving strangely

  • Being unaware of magic

  • Hurting those that you love, watching yourself doing it, but you can't stop yourself

  • Feeling your heart is burdened and imprisoned

  • Lethargy

  • Lack of purpose

  • Cannot feel your soul in your body

  • Variations in time

Symptoms of a Reality Bind

  • Lethargy

  • Feeling trapped in time and space

  • Memory issues

  • Encountering continuous stressful situations

  • Comorbid to a traumatic past

  • Sexual confusion
